Bauakustische Problemstellungen können sehr gut in kleinen Miniaturmodellen untersucht werden. Sie sind flexibler, weniger aufwendig und günstiger als die üblichen Messungen in großen, genormten Prüfständen sowie zuverlässiger und umfassender als die meisten Computersimulationen. Gemäß ähnlichkeitstheoretischen Gesichtspunkten wurde ein 1:10-Modell eines bauakustischen Wandprüfstandes entworfen und validiert.
