Am 14. März, CeBIT Hannover 13.00 Uhr Halle 22 Stand A 31 DFN (Verein fur Foerderung eines deutschen Wissenschaftsnetzes) stellt Prof. Dr. Pralle, Vorstand des DFN-Vereins, und Frau Dr. Gudrun Qaundel, Pressesprecherin des DFN- Vereins, das 34-MBIT Netz und das 155 MBit ATM-Netz der Presse vor, welches am 18. März offiziell eröffnet wird. Es ist mit 42 Anschlüssen das weltweite großte Breitbandhochgeschwindigkeitsnetz.
Zu Gast am Stand des DFN sind weiterhin Gerd Pasch,welcher das on-line Projekt des der Deutschlandfunk vorstellt, und für den Info-Dienst Wissenschaft (vormals Elster) Jochen Brinkmann. Der Deutschlandfunk bietet seit kurzem im Internet einen taeglich erscheinenden Newsletter an.
IDW ist die verbesserte Version des Informationsdienstes für Wissenschaftsjournalisten.
