Die Fachbereichsräte I bis VI der Universität Trier haben am 6. und 13. Februar 2008 die Dekaninnen und Dekane sowie die Prodekanninen und Prodekane neu gewählt.
Zum Dekan des Fachbereichs I wurde der Psychologe Prof. Dr. Conny H. Antoni und zum Prodekan der Philosoph Prof. Dr. Bernd Dörflinger gewählt. Die Japanologin Prof. Dr. Hilaria Gössmann ist Dekanin des Fachbereichs II, Prodekan ist der Germanist Prof. Dr. Ulrich Port. Im Fachbereich III wurden Geschichtsprofessorin Dr. Helga Schnabel-Schüle zur Dekanin und der Klassische Archäologe Prof Dr. Markus Trunk zum Prodekan gewählt. Dekan des Fachbereichs IV wird zum 1. März 2008 Soziologe Prof Dr. Paul Windolf und Prodekan Informatikprofessor Dr. Bernd Walter. Dr. Peter Axer, Professor der Rechtswissenschaft, wird zum 1. März Dekan des Fachbereich V und Prodekan Dr. Diederich Eckardt, Professor für Zivilrecht. Zum Dekan des Fachbereich VI wurde Prof. Dr. Dr. Klaus Fischer, Professor für Anorganische Chemie, und Prof. Dr. Ingo Eberle, Professor für Angewandte Geographie, zum Prodekan gewählt.
