Als Persönliche Referentin des Präsidenten hat Frau Kathrin Klietsch am 1. Oktober 2008 ihren Dienst an der Fachhochschule Lausitz aufgenommen.
Nach Abschluss ihres Magisterstudiums der Medienwissenschaften, Wirtschaftswissenschaften und Soziologie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena und dem Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australien, übernahm die gebürtige Hoyerswerdaerin zunächst drei Jahre lang Aufgaben im Bereich kommunikationswissenschaftlicher Lehre und Forschung.
Unter anderem war sie an den Universitäten Koblenz-Landau, Stuttgart-Hohenheim und Münster tätig.
