Pflanzenbiotechnologie in der Life Science-Forschung
Symposium zur Emeritierung von Professor Dr. Dieter Heß
Ein Symposium über den Einfluss der Biotechnologie der Pflanzen auf die Forschung im Bereich der Life Science findet am
Freitag, 28. September 2001 im Euro-Forum
der Universität Hohenheim (Kirchnerstr. 3)
statt. Anlass ist die Emeritierung von Professor Dr. Dieter Heß, der nach langen Jahren als Ordinarius für Pflanzenphysiologie am Institut Physiologie und Biotechnologie der Pflanzen in den Ruhestand geht.
Nach einer Begrüßung durch den Präsidenten der Universität Hohenheim, Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Klaus Macharzina, wird Vizepräsident Professor Dr. Hans-Peter Liebig einen Überblick über die Life Science in der Universität Hohenheim geben. Danach werden in 6 Sitzungen unterschiedliche Aspekte des Themas referiert und diskutiert. Die abschließende Sitzung (ab 18:30 Uhr) wird sich den Auswirkungen der Life Sciences auf die Zivilisation widmen. Mit einer Diskussion und Abschlussbemerkungen wird das Symposium gegen 19:30 Uhr beendet werden.
