Die Wirtschaftsinformatik der TU München wird im neuen Top-100-Ranking der Association for Information Systems (AIS) als derzeit forschungsstärkste in Deutschland eingestuft. Die führende internationale Fachgesellschaft hat für ihre Rangliste acht wichtige Fachzeitschriften der vergangenen drei Jahre ausgewertet.
Im AIS-Ranking erreicht die Wirtschaftsinformatik der TUM Platz 55. Keine andere deutsche Hochschule hat es im Untersuchungszeitraum 2008-2010 unter die besten 100 geschafft. Angeführt wird die Rangliste von angloamerikanischen Universitäten. Die Association for Information Systems untersucht, wie oft Wissenschaftler in den bedeutendsten Fachzeitschriften publizieren.
