Am 18. Februar 1899 hat Elsa Neumann als erste Frau an der Berliner Universität in Physik promoviert. Zur Erinnerung an die engagierte, jung verstorbene Wissenschaftlerin (23.8.1872 - 23.7.1902) lädt die Vereinigung der Freunde und Förderer des Instituts für Physik e.V. am 15. Februar 2002,14 Uhr c.t., zu einem Kolloquium. Die Veranstaltung findet im Senatssaal der Humboldt-Universität, Unter den Linden 6, 10099 Berlin, statt.
