Verleihung des Paul Ehrlich und Ludwig Darmstaedter-Preises 2002 an Dr. Craig Venter
Frankfurt. Einladung zur Pressekonferenz am Mittwoch, den 13. März, um 14 Uhr im Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof, Salon 14, Kaiserplatz, in Frankfurt. Dr. Craig Venter, Vorstandsvorsitzender des Institute for Genomic Research, Rockville,

Professor Dr. Reinhard Kurth, Direktor des Robert-Koch-Instituts in Berlin,
Dr. Abner Notkins, Direktor am National Institute for Dental Research, Bethesda, USA,
Dr. Rino Rappuoli, Istituto Ricerche Immunobiologiche in Siena, Italien.
Craig Venter erhält den in Deutschland bedeutendsten Medizinpreis für die Sequenzierung der Genome von verschiedenen Organismen. Die Auszeichnung ist mit 120.000 Mark dotiert und wird jährlich am Geburtstag von Paul Ehrlich, dem 14. März, um 10 Uhr in der Frankfurter Paulskirche verliehen.
