Pilzliche Krankheiten und deren Gifte können bei Brot und Futterweizen zu erheblichen Qualitätsproblemen führen. Zwei wichtige Pilzkrankheiten, nämlich zwei Fusarienarten, können nach ersten Untersuchungen einer Arbeitsgruppe aus Wageningen, Niederlande, sehr gut mit anderen Pilzen und auch Bakterien bekämpft werden. Sowohl in Feuchtkammern als auch in Klimaschränken, die Feldbedingungen simulierten, konnte die Produktion der Fusariensporen um mehr als 90 % reduziert werden. Feldversuche müssen jetzt noch beweisen, dass die Methode auch in der Praxis eingesetzt werden kann. (BBA)
