Prof. Dr. Stefan Edlich wird die Studienrichtung "Network Computing" mit aufbauen
Zum neuen Professor für Informatik und Softwaretechnik am Fachbereich Informatik und Medien der Fachhochschule Brandenburg (FHB) ist zum 1. November Dr. Stefan Edlich berufen worden. Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit wird neben der Lehre der Aufbau der Studienrichtung "Network Computing" im Studiengang Informatik sein.
Stefan Edlich studierte Informatik und Wirtschaftsingenieur und schloss beides mit Diplom ab. 1995 promovierte er bei Prof. Sigram Schindler an der TU-Berlin über synchrone Groupwaresysteme. Danach übernahm er die Leitung einer IT-Abteilung für das Risikocontrolling einer Großbank. Seit 1998 war er bei GEBIT als Projektleiter und Trainer für Java und Enterprise-Systeme tätig. Parallel dazu arbeitete Edlich als Trainer für BEA Systems. Seine Spezialgebiete sind Softwareengineering, Web Services, J2EE- / Application-Server und Frameworks.
