Zwei international bekannte Kultur- und Filmwissenschaftler analysieren die Verarbeitung deutscher Zeitgeschichte, insbesondere des Nationalsozialismus und seiner Folgen, im amerikanischen Film der Kriegs- und Nachkriegsjahre. Dabei stehen Chaplins Hitlerbild (im Vergleich mit dem von Leni Riefenstahl) sowie Billy Wilders Blick auf die "Stunde Null" im geteilten Berlin im Mittelpunkt. Die beiden Einzelvorträge und die Diskussion finden in Deutsch statt.
