Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Henrik Botterweck trat zu Anfang März 2016 seine Vizepräsidentschaft an der Fachhochschule Lübeck an. Professor Botterweck wurde bereits im Dezember 2015 in einer vorgezogenen Wahl zum neuen Vizepräsidenten der FH Lübeck gewählt.
Henrik Botterweck tritt die Nachfolge von Prof. Dr. Joachim Litz an, der 2017 aus der Hochschule ausscheidet. In seiner neuen Funktion als Vizepräsident ist Henrik Botterweck im Präsidium der Fachhochschule für Lehre und Forschung zuständig.
Botterweck ist seit Anfang September 2008 Professor im Fachbereich Angewandte Naturwissenschaften (AN) an der FH Lübeck. Der promovierte Physiker vertritt schwerpunktmäßig das Gebiet bildgebender Verfahren in der Medizintechnik. 2012 wurde Botterweck zum Dekan des Fachbereichs AN gewählt, den er bis zum heutigen Wechsel in die Hochschulleitung vertrat.
