GI-Jahrestagung "Informatik 2003" zu innovativen Informatikanwendungen in Frankfurt: Von der Automobilinformatik bis zum E-Government
FRANKFURT. Vom 29. September bis zum 2. Oktober 2003 wird Frankfurt zum Zentrum der deutschsprachigen Informatik: Die Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI) veranstaltet dort ihre diesjährige Jahrestagung "Informatik 2003" zum Leitthema "Innovative Informatikanwendungen" unter Federführung von Prof. Dr. Andreas Oberweis, Prof. Dr. Kai Rannenberg und Prof. Dr. Wolfgang König, alle Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik der Universität Frankfurt.
Ein Schwerpunkt der diesjährigen Tagung ist das Thema "Sicherheit in der Informationstechnologie (IT)" mit all seinen Aspekten. Unsicherheit beeinträchtigt praktisch jede Form von Kommunikation und Geschäftsverkehr und ist zum zentralen Problem in der vernetzten Welt geworden. Auf der Tagung werden beispielsweise Schutzmaßnahmen gegen IT-Terrorismus und den so genannten Cyberwar vorgestellt und diskutiert. Es werden aber auch Themen wie Softwaretechnik, Internet, Rechnerarchitekturen, Automobilinformatik, gesellschaftspolitische Aspekte wie Ethik in der Informatik, E-Government und Ausbildung behandelt.
Hauptvorträge, Workshops, Tutorien, Symposien und spezielle Veranstaltungen für Studierende bieten Interessantes und Neues für jede Informatikerin und für jeden Informatiker, aber auch für diejenigen, die sich über aktuelle Trends in der Informatik informieren wollen, insbesondere zur Mobilität von Informatikanwendungen (Mobile Commerce) sowie zu Computernutzungen im Geschäfts- und Privatleben.
Zu den Hauptrednern der Tagung gehören unter anderem der Präsident des Bundesamtes für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, Dr. Udo Helmbrecht, Hermann Josef Lamberti als Vorstandsmitglied der Deutschen Bank und der Bioinformatiker und Zuse-Preisträger Prof. Dr. Thomas Lengauer vom Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik in Saarbrücken. Die Konrad-Zuse-Medaille ist die bedeutendste deutsche Informatikauszeichnung. Sie ist nach dem deutschen "Vater des Computers", Konrad Zuse, benannt und wird von der Gesellschaft für Informatik alle zwei Jahre für besondere Verdienste um die Informatik verliehen.
