Feministische ökonomische Theorie steht im Mittelpunkt
Im Wintersemester 2003/2004 besetzt die niederländische Ökonomin Dr. Edith Kuiper die Marie-Jahoda-Gastprofessur für Internationale Frauenforschung an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Edith Kuiper wird während ihres Aufenthaltes in Bochum ein wöchentliches Seminar zum Thema "The history and philosophy of Economics from a feminist perspective" an der Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der RUB unterrichten.
Seminar auf Englisch
Der Fokus der Arbeit von Dr. Edith Kuiper liegt im Bereich der feministischen ökonomischen Theorie, Makroökonomie und Geschlecht. Sie ist und war sehr aktiv in der Vernetzung feministischer Ökonominnen. Derzeit ist sie Vizepräsidentin der International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) und seit vielen Jahren im Feminist Economics Network in the Netherlands (FENN) tätig. 2001 war sie Visiting Professor am Robert Schuman Institut des European University Institutes in Florenz. Ihr wöchentliches Seminar an der Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät wird auf Englisch stattfinden und steht Interessierten aller Fachrichtungen offen.
