Die 1000. Promotionsurkunde der Bayreuther Fakultät für Biologie, Chemie und Geowissenschaften wurde jetzt an die Geographin Andrea Jöckel ausgehändigt.
Bayreuth (UBT). 25 Jahre hat es gedauert, dann war es geschafft: die 1.000 Promotion in der Fakultät für Biologie, Chemie und Geowissenschaften konnte gefeiert werden.
Namentlich handelt es sich um die Geographin Dr. Andrea Jöckel, die in der vergangenen Woche aus den Händen von Dekan Professor Dr. Paul Rösch ihre Promotionsurkunde erhielt - Grund genug für eine kleine 1.000er-Feier mit einem Glas Sekt, bei der auch Uni-Präsident und Geographiedidaktiker Professor Helmut Ruppert wie dessen Kollege Professor Fouad N. Ibrahim (Regionalgeogarphie Afrikas), der Doktorvater von Frau Jöckel, teilnahmen. Die frischgebackene Doktorin setzt nun ihre Karriere im schulischen Bereich fort.
Seit dem 17. August 1978 sind in der Fakultät 493 Chemikerinnen und Chemiker, 298 Biologinnen und Biologen sowie 209 Geographinnen und Geographen promoviert worden.
