Ein Gespräch mit Gabriele Metzler und Christoph Rauhut über die vielen Gesichter der Alten Bibliothek
Die ehemalige königliche Hofbibliothek am Bebelplatz in Berlin-Mitte gilt als eines der architektonisch spannendsten Gebäude der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Heute weithin bekannt als "Kommode", war der preußische Prachtbau nicht nur Bibliothek, sondern zeitweilig auch das zweite Hauptgebäude der HU. Heute ist die „Kommode“ Sitz der Juristischen Fakultät. Das Landesdenkmalamt Berlin widmete dem Gebäude vor einigen Wochen eine neue Monographie der Autorin Elke Richter: "Die königliche Hofbibliothek in Berlin 1774-1970. Ein Bauwerk zwischen Tradition und Transformation."
