Max-Planck-Institut für neuropsychologische Forschung wird zu einem Max-Planck-Institut für Kognitions- und Neurowissenschaften in Leipzig ausgebaut
In den letzten zehn bis fünfzehn Jahren sind psychologische und neurowissenschaftliche Forschung überall in der Welt immer enger zusammengerückt. Die Max-Planck-Gesellschaft hat dieser Entwicklung Rechnung getragen und die Max-Planck-Institute für neuropsychologische Forschung, Leipzig, und für psychologische Forschung, München zum 1. Januar 2004 zu einem Max-Planck-Institut für Kognitions- und Neurowissenschaften am Standort Leipzig zusammengeführt. Das neue Institut verbindet auf einzigartige Weise modernste Kognitions- und Hirnforschung. Dabei ist die enge Verzahnung zwischen inhaltlicher Forschung und technologischer Entwicklung besonders hervorzuheben. Anlässlich der Gründung des Max-Planck-Institutes für Kognitions- und Neurowissenschaften findet am 26. März 2004 um 11.00 Uhr in der Alten Börse am Naschmarkt in Leipzig eine Feierstunde statt.
