Das überregionale Netzwerk Präsymptomatische Tumordiagnostik mit Sitz in Senftenberg stellt sich vom 6. bis 9. Juni 2004 gemeinsam mit einer Vielzahl namhafter deutscher Biotechnologie-Unternehmen auf der weltweit größten Messe für Biotechnologie, der Bio 2004, in San Francisco, Californien, USA, vor.
Präsentiert wird das Netzwerk an einem gemeinsamen Stand im deutschen Pavillon durch Prof. Dr. Günter H. Schulz - 1. Vizepräsident und Studiendekan Biotechnologie der Fachhochschule Lausitz, Dr. Werner Lehmann - Geschäftsführer der Attomol GmbH Lipten, Karsten Stein - Geschäftsführer der IOM GmbH Berlin, und Dr. Dirk Roggenbuck - Geschäftsführer der Generic Assays GmbH in Dahlewitz.
Diese vier Netzwerkpartner sind auch Projektpartner des neuen Innovativen Regionalen Wachstumskerns BioResponse, der erst am 2. Juni 2004 durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung in einer Veranstaltung an der Fachhochschule Lausitz eröffnet wurde. Dr. Werner Lehmann ist Sprecher des Wachstumskerns.
Ein wichtiges Ziel der Messeteilnahme ist es, neue Kundenkontakte im Bereich Life-Science-Analytik zu knüpfen. Die Millionenmetropole San Francisco ist eine der Hochburgen der Biotechnologie in den USA.
