Am 17. und 18. März 2005 wird am RheinAhrCampus Remagen die 2. internationale Konferenz zur Gesichtsweichteilrekonstruktion stattfinden. Im Rahmen des Bonner Wissenschaftsfestivals organisieren der RheinAhrCampus Remagen, das Bundeskriminalamt Wiesbaden und caesar Bonn in Kooperation mit den Universitäten Düsseldorf und Leuven diesen wissenschaftlichen Austausch, bei dem Experten aus den Gebieten der chirurgischen Gesichtsweichteilrekonstruktion, der Gerichtsmedizin und der Anthropologie erwartet werden.
Key-Note Speaker sind Christoph P.E. Zollikofer (Institute of Anthropology, MultiMedia Lab, University of Zuerich: Reconstructing Humans: Hard and Soft Evidence) und Jean-Noel Vignal (Head Forensic Anthropology Department, Institute of Criminal Research of the French Gendarmerie: The Facial Reconstruction: Past, Present and Future). Weitere kooperierende Partner sind das Landeskriminalamt Brandenburg, NEC Europe Ltd. C&C Research Lab, das Nederlands Forensisch Instituut (Rijswijk), das Institute of Criminalistics Prague, die Universität Freiburg und das IEEE Joint Chapter EMB - German Section.
