Professor Dr. Dr. h. c. Günter Beuermann, Vorstandsmitglied des Seminars für Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Operations Research, ist von der Fakultät für Bergbau, Hüttenwesen und Maschinenwesen der Technischen Universität Clausthal zum Ehrendoktor ernannt worden.
Professor Dr. Robert Fischer, emeritierter Direktor des Instituts für Pathologie, ist von der Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Onkologie und Hämatologie zum Ehrenmitglied ernannt worden.
Professor Dr. Dr. Gerhard Pulverer, emeritierter Direktor des Instituts für Medizinische Mikrobiologie und Hygiene, ist von Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung mit der Werner Heisenberg-Medaille ausgezeichnet worden. Außerdem verlieh ihm die Gastronomische Akademie Deutschlands die Carl-Friedrich-von-Rumohr-Medaille.
Professor Dr. Syed Muhammad Qaim, Institut für Nuklearchemie, ist durch die Verleihung der hohen zivilen Auszeichnung Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Großer Stern der Auszeichnung) der Republik Pakistan geehrt worden.
