Der Lehrstuhl für Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung der TU München organisiert vom 8. bis 10. September 1999 die Konferenz "Automatic Extraction of GIS Objects from Digital Imagery" der Internationalen Gesellschaft für Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung (ISPRS).
Dabei geht es um die automatische Erkennung von Objekten (zum Beispiel Gebäude oder Straßen) aus digitalen Satelliten- oder Luftbildern zur Einspeisung in Geoinformationssysteme (GIS). Wissenschaftler aus dem In- und Ausland präsentieren in Vorträgen ihre neuesten Forschungsergebnisse. Die Konferenz, zu der rund 100 Teilnehmer aus Forschung und Praxis erwartet werden, findet im Südgebäude der TU München, Hörsaal S1128 (Eingang Arcisstraße 16) statt.
