Am 1. Advent ist die Orangerie des Botanischen Gartens der Universität Leipzig die Kulisse für ein Weihnachtliches Konzert mit dem Männervokalensemble Thios Omilos.

Das Programm umfasst ein breites Repertoire mit Werken von u.a. von Bach, Schütz, Mauersberger, Mozart und Reger. Es singen: Patrick Grahl, Tenor I; Cornelius Frommelt, Tenor II; Tobias Ay, Bariton; Philipp Goldmann, Bass I; Emanuel Jessel, Bass II .
Das Männervokalensemble Thios Omilos wurde im August 2002 als Doppelquartett aus aktiven Mitgliedern des Thomanerchores Leipzig gegründet. Das Ensemble hat sich inzwischen mit einer festen Größe von fünf Sängern etabliert. Das Repertoire der Gruppe umfasst sowohl geistliche als auch weltliche Werke von der Renaissance bis zur Moderne.
Der Eintrittspreis beträgt 6.- €.
