Neues Mitglied im "International Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter" (ICAM) ist die Universität Leipzig. In einer ersten Veranstaltung wird das Institut vorgestellt.

ICAM ist ein weltweit vernetztes, virtuelles Forschungsinstitut, das entstanden ist als eine Antwort auf die rapide Intensivierung der internationalen Forschungskooperation. Aus Leipzig agierende Partner sind zunächst Prof. Dr. Jürgen Haase, Institut für Experimentelle Physik II, und Prof. Dr. Josef A. Käs, Institut für Experimentelle Physik I der Universität Leipzig.
Gast der wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltung ist Prof. Dr. Daniel Cox, von der Kalifornischen Universität Davis und Co-Direktor con ICAM. Er leitet zunächst die öffentliche Diskussion zum International Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter und hält dann den Fachvortrag zur "Physik amyloider Erkrankungen".
