Auf dem Messfeld Waldstein-Weidenbrunnen in der Nähe von Weissensstadt (Oberfranken) ist ein neuer 35 m hohe Turbulenzmast aufgestellt worden, ein Forschungsshelfer u.a. für die Bayreuther Mikrometorologen im DFG-Forschungsverbund EGER.
Bayreuth (UBT). Mitte August wurde auf dem Messfeld Waldstein-Weidenbrunnen in der Nähe von Weissensstadt (Oberfranken) der neue 35 m hohe Turbulenzmast aufgestellt, ein Forschungsshelfer für die Bayreuther Mikrometorologen sowie Chemiker aus Bayreuth und vom Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie in Mainz. Dieser wurde im Rahmen des EGER-Projektes (ExchanGE processes in mountainous Regions (EGER)) durch die Deutsche Forschungsmeinschaft (DFG) finanziert.
Während der alte Mast im EGER-Projekt vorrangig für chemische Messungen vorgesehen ist, gestattet der neue Mast ungestörte Turbulenzmessungen und ist damit der ideale Messstandort für Untersuchungen zur Kopplung Atmosphäre - hohe Vegetation.
