Der Studiengang Animation der Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen "Konrad Wolf" freut sich, bereits vor der offiziellen Einweihung des Neubaus ankündigen zu können: In der kommenden Woche wird der Visual Effects Supervisor John Nelson in einem zweitägigen Workshop über seine Arbeit an "Gladiator" berichten. Der in Los Angeles lebende John Nelson, Kameramann und 3D-Animations-Experte, hat als VFX-Supervisor Produktionen wie "City of Angels", "Anaconda", "Judge Dredd" und "In the Line of Fire" betreut. Als VFX-Supervisor für "Gladiator" war er u. a. verantwortlich für die synthetische Erzeugung des antiken Rom und über 50.000 Statisten im synthetischen Collosseum.
Zum Screening des Films und zum Vortrag sind alle herzlich eingeladen. Der anschließende Workshop richtet sich ausschließlich an Studierende und Lehrende der HFF, vornehmlich der Studiengänge Animation, Szenographie, Kamera, Produktion, Montage und Regie.
