Three out of 20,000: idw award for the best press releases

    idw awards the idw Award for Science Communication to press releases that distinguish themselves by their professional quality, outstanding news value and scientific importance.

    idw (Informationsdienst Wissenschaft) transports an average of 20,000 press releases yearly of its member organizations such as universities and other scientific institutions. In order to foster excellence in Communications, idw awards the idw Award for Science Communication to press releases that distinguish themselves by their professional quality, outstanding news value and scientific importance (quality, relevance, originality). Only idw member organizations are eligible. The three winners will receive 2,000 / 1,000 / 500 €. The award will be presented to the winners at idw's annual meeting of members in March, 2010.
