Das renommierte Business-Magazin "EuroBusiness" rankt in seiner November-Ausgabe das MBA-Angebot der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) unter die besten 20 MBA-Programme Europas. Innerhalb dieser Top 20 gibt es keine Wertung. Die einzigen deutschsprachigen MBA's dieses Rankings unter dem Titel "Best of the Best" sind die der WHU Koblenz und der WU.
Hervor gehoben werden in dem Ranking neben der über 100jährigen Tradition der WU das Welt umspannende Netzwerk internationaler Partneruniversitäten. Dies wirke sich auf das MBA-Angebot aus: "The International MBA programme...now profits from these connections and tries to transfer multicultural aspects of business life to its students", so EuroBusiness.
Zur Wahl der Methodik von EuroBusiness heißt es: "Over the last three months EuroBusiness conducted an informal poll of opinions to form a very subjective ranking of MBA schools. Reputation is a consensus and an endorsement that has to be earned. It is an indicator of consistently high quality that isn't dependent on the economy and will not fluctuate wildly like other measures. Reputation is how students choose their courses and how the corporations choose graduates".
Das "International MBA"-Programm der WU wurde 1994 ins Leben gerufen und besteht aus zwei Teilen: Die ersten sieben Monaten werden an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, die weiteren sieben Monate an der University of South Carolina (Columbia) unterrichtet. Das Programm kostet 25.000 US$.
