Nur noch wenige Wochen, bis die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft beginnt. Auch die Universität Duisburg-Essen (UDE) ist im WM-Fieber und hat das Mega-Ereignis in den Mittelpunkt ihres aktuellen Magazins CAMPUS:REPORT gestellt.
Die Redaktion hat den Mann besucht, der weiß, wie ein perfekter Schuh für die Profi-Kicker aussehen muss; sie hat Wissenschaftler gefragt, was so faszinierend am Public Viewing ist, wie wahr Fußballweisheiten sind, warum sich mit Fußball so gut über andere Dinge reden lässt und ob er etwas Religiöses hat. Aber auch das: Wie kommt die WM beim Gastgeber Brasilien an, wie viel Nationalstolz darf sein, und wie anders kicken Frauen?
