Aufräumarbeiten nach dem Hype: Wissenschaftliche Bestandsaufnahme beim Symposium an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien
Morgen Donnerstag beginnt an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) das zweitägige Symposium "Informationswirtschaft - ein Sektor mit Zukunft". Im Rahmen dieser Veranstaltung diskutiert eine internationale Runde von Experten aus Forschung und Praxis aktuelle Themen und künftige Fragestellung der Informationswirtschaft. Im Zentrum des Interesses stehen die ökonomischen Aspekte von E-Business, insbesondere Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management und E-Government, die Nutzung von Informationen in Entscheidungen, insbesondere im Internetumfeld, Wissensmanagement, rechtliche Aspekte der Informationswirtschaft, ökonomische Aspekte von Informationsgütern und die Veränderung der IT-Industrie.
In seiner Eröffnungsrede hob Vizerektor Dr. Horst Breitenstein die Wichtigkeit der ökonomischen Analyse bei der Gestaltung von Informationssystemen, dem Informationsmanagement, der Unterstützung von Entscheidungen und der Informationsgütermärkte hervor. Er würdigte auch die Leistungen von Univ.Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Janko, der dieses Fach an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien aufgebaut hat und gratulierte Janko zu seinem 60. Geburtstag.
