On the first anniversary of the Aachen Treaty, the French national institute for information technology, Inria (Institut national de recherche en informatique et en automatique), and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding. The ceremony takes place in the Power4Production Innovation laboratory in Saarbrücken in the presence of Minister President Tobias Hans and State Secretary Heike Raab, Representative of the Land of Rhineland-Palatinate to the Federal Government, with Responsibility for Europe, the Media and Digital Affairs.
In the future, the two scientific institutions will cooperate within the framework of a joint strategic research and innovation agenda in the areas of AI for Industry 4.0, AI infrastructures, human-robot collaboration, and wearables, including a strong commitment to the European AI initiative CLAIRE (Confederation of Labs for AI Research in Europe).
We cordially invite you to participate in the signature event of the Memorandum of Understanding between Inria and DFKI in Saarbrücken on 22 January 2020.
