Simone Angster has taken over as Head of Communications at DECHEMA on September 1, 2021. She is responsible for the internal and external communications of DECHEMA e.V. and is press spokesperson for ACHEMA, the world's leading exhibition for the process industry.
Simone Angster succeeds Dr. Kathrin Rübberdt, who took over as head of DECHEMA's Science and Industry Division on July 1, 2021.
DECHEMA Gesellschaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie e.V.'s communications staff department is responsible for all communication activities of the scientific society, including press and public relations, social media, newsletters, as well as member support and internal communications. It also manages the press and public relations activities of ACHEMA. With its focus topics of chemical engineering, biotechnology, energy and climate, water management, pharmaceuticals and medical technology, DECHEMA positions itself as the voice of applied research and aims, among other things, to promote dialogue between science, industry, politics and society.
Previously, Simone Angster was deputy head of the Brand, Marketing and Communication department at VDE. After studying journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Simone Angster worked as an editor for the trade journals ew Magazin für die Energiewirtschaft and Euro Heat and Power from 2011 to 2016.
