Der globale Aufstieg Chinas und die Auswirkungen auf die liberale Weltordnung stehen vom 6. April 2022 an im Mittelpunkt einer öffentlichen digitalen Veranstaltungsreihe des Exzellenzclusters „Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS)“ in Kooperation mit dem Institut für Ostasienwissenschaften IN-EAST der Universität Duisburg-Essen. In der Webinarreihe präsentieren führende Forschende verschiedene Themen im Zusammenhang mit dem globalen Aufstieg Chinas und der liberalen internationalen Ordnung und diskutieren diese mit Mitgliedern des Exzellenzclusters „Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS)“ und IN-EAST der Universität Duisburg-Essen.
Fragen aus dem Publikum können über den Chatroom im Zoom-Webinar an die Moderation geschickt werden. Den Auftaktvortrag der in englischer Sprache gehaltenen Reihe am 6. April um 18.00 Uhr hält Steve Chan von der University of Colorado Boulder zum Thema „Contesting Revisionism: China, the United States, and the Transformation of International Order” (Den Revisionismus bekämpfen: China, die Vereinigten Staaten und die Transformation der internationalen Ordnung).
