From the end of 2024, a database will be the new centrepiece of idw’s expert services. Press officers can upload and manage all experts from their own institution here, journalists can search for experts in the expert lists or directly in the database and filter the entries by region and gender, among other things.
Informationsdienst Wissenschaft helps journalists getting into immediate contact with experts from its member organisations who are willing to provide information if questions remain unanswered after researching the literature, the idw news archive and other sources.
Informationsdienst Wissenschaft provides accredited journalists with lists of experts - on selected, current topics that are likely to be of public interest over a longer period of time. The lists contain the contact details of knowledgeable scientists who are willing to provide media professionals with background information and assessments and / or interviews.
* Note: Unfortunately, we cannot offer our expert finder openly anymore, because of several attempts to send automated spam mails via this web form. To avoid any risk, the use of the expert search is only possible for logged in journalists.

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
