The idw and the press offices of its member institutions put journalists in direct contact with experts who are ready and able to answer queries. In january 2016 the expert finder mediated 75 inquiries. This is the highest number per a month in five years and shows, contrary to what is widely assumed, that journalists do intensiv research work: http://idw-online.de/en/entereq
