Entscheidungen in der Agrarwirtschaft fallen zwar auf der Ebene des einzelnen landwirtschaftlichen Betriebes - die ökonomischen Anreize dafür werden aber durch die politischen Entscheidungen zur Förderung getroffen - auf Länder- und auf EU-Ebene. Hier bietet die Reform der gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik im Jahr 2013 eine herausragende Chance, den Landwirten bessere Anreize zum Erhalt der natürlichen Ressourcen zu bieten - wie dies auch bereits vom Sachverständigenrat für Umweltfragen (SRU) nachdrücklich gefordert wird.
