Der Bohrkern aus einer Tiefe von 100-140 Zentimetern zeigt die grünlich-grauen, feinkörnigen marinen Sedimente mit Jahresschichtung. Insgesamt 13 grobkörnige Sturmlagen (Tempestite, EL36 bis 47) grenzen sich deutlich von den normalen Sedimenten ab.
