Der FLS2-Sensor, hier mit dem grün-fluoreszierenden-Protein (GFP) markiert, lokalisiert normalerweise in den Zellmembranen (zu sehen sind Zellen der Blattoberfläche). Nach Erkennung des Flagellins findet eine Umverlagerung in kleine zelluläre Vesikel (kleine grüne Punkte) statt. Diese Umverteilung des FLS2-Sensors ist in Pflanzen, denen der BAK1-Sensor fehlt, gestört und findet nicht mehr statt.
