Weltweit nutzen täglich mehrere Millionen Menschen das Internet. Auf dem Weg zum Massen medium hat das Internet vor allem in Europa aber noch einige Barrieren zu überwinden. Vor allem mangelt es hierzulande im Vergleich zu den USA an der Erschwinglichkeit. Auf einer Tagung in Münster wollen Experten aus dem In- und Ausland untersuchen, auf welche Art und Weise in Deutschland und Europa eine "Grundversorgung" der Bevölkerung mit Informationen durch das Internet sichergestellt werden kann.
Veranstaltet wird der Workshop "Removing E-Barriers. Ways to Facilitate the Growth of the Internet in Germany and Europe"

im Stadtweinhaus, Prinzipalmarkt 8-10, Münster,
gemeinsam vom Institut für Informations-, Telekommunikations- und Medienrecht der Uni versität Münster (Prof. Dr. Bernd Holznagel) mit dem "Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy" der Universität Oxford (Prof. Dr. Stefaan Verhulst).
