Der neue Honorarprofessor für Völkerrecht und Diplomatie an der Freien Universität Berlin, Botschafter Dr. Wilfried Bolewski, hält am Mittwoch, 4. Juni seine Antrittsvorlesung. Er spricht zum Thema "Innovative Diplomatie im Spannungsfeld zwischen Recht und Politik". Die Veranstaltung findet in der Van't-Hoff-Straße 8 statt. Sie ist öffentlich, der Eintritt frei.
Bei der Honorarprofessur handelt es sich um die bundesweit erste, die ein aktiver Diplomat antritt. Gewürdigt wird damit die langjährige Kooperation zwischen dem Auswärtigen Amt und der Freien Universität Berlin.
Wilfried Bolewski wurde im Jahr 1943 in Berlin geboren. Er studierte Rechtswissenschaft, Internationale Beziehungen und Volkswirtschaft in Marburg, Genf und an der Freien Universität Berlin. Bolewski ist Autor zahlreicher Publikationen zum Thema Diplomatie und lehrt als Gastwissenschaftler an der Hertie School of Governance und dem Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris.
