Münchner Mathematisches Kolloqium
Im Rahmen des Münchner Mathematischen Kolloquiums spricht am Dienstag, den 22. November 2005, Prof. Dr. Ole Barndorff-Nielsen vom Department of Mathematical Sciences der Universität Aarhus, Dänemark, zum Thema "Ambit processes; with applications to turbulence and tumour growth". Er gibt hierin einen Überblick über Anwendungen stochastischer Prozesse im Bereich der Medizin, insbesondere bei der Ausbreitung von Tumoren. Prof. Barndorff-Nielsen ist Preisträger der Humboldt-Stiftung und zählt weltweit zu den renommiertesten Wissenschaftlern auf dem Gebiet der Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie.
Das Münchner Mathematische Kolloquium wird von der Fakultät für Mathematik der TUM und der Fakultät für Mathematik, Informatik und Statistik der LMU veranstaltet.
