Ruandische Studierende des Zertifikatsprogramms „BioMex – Advanced Biomedical Expertise“ sind derzeit zu Gast in Rheinland-Pfalz.
Im Rahmen von zweiwöchigen Praktika bei Unternehmen und Einrichtungen in Ruanda sammeln Studierende wertvolle praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich Biotechnologie und Pharmazie. Das Programm stärkt den Biotechnologie-Sektor in Ruanda und wurde von der Hochschule Koblenz initiiert. Am Campus Remagen ist es im Fachbereich Mathematik, Informatik, Technik akademisch verankert.
Die administrative Umsetzung, Akkreditierung und Zertifizierung des Studiengangs liegt beim zfh – Zentrum für Fernstudien im Hochschulverbund. Partner in Ruanda ist das Institute of Applied Sciences Ruhengeri (INES). Vor Ort wird das Programm durch die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) umgesetzt und durch das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) gefördert.
