With this 2nd announcement, we would like to invite you again to attend the 2nd International Workshop on Infrared Plasma Spectroscopy (IPS 2007) and to submit a presentation of your current research in the field of Infrared Plasma Spectroscopy. The Workshop is organized by the INP Greifswald in cooperation with the Institute of Physics (IfP), University of Greifswald, and will take place from Tuesday, July 24 - Friday, July 27, 2007 in the INP and the IfP in the university town of Greifswald, Germany.
After the success of the 1st International Workshop on Infrared Plasma Spectroscopy in June 2006 the 2nd meeting will again bring together physicists and chemists from different places worldwide who are applying spectroscopic methods in the infrared spectral region for investigating gas discharges. It is an important and fruitful opportunity to meet and discuss with the leading scientists in this field. The scientific program covers all modern aspects of infrared plasma spectroscopy connecting basic research with industrial applications. The main topics of the workshop include all kinds of spectroscopic methods in the infrared region, like FTIR, ATR and tuneable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, and their various applications for diagnostics of different gas discharges.
Two sessions of talks will be held each day before lunch with two additional ones on Wednesday. Thursday afternoon is reserved for the industrial exhibition, the poster session and the conference dinner.
Due to the limited facilities of the Workshop site the number of participants will be limited to ca 50, so please register early.

The deadline for abstract submissions is April 27, 2007.
The conference language is English. Abstract must be submitted in English. The abstracts will be distributed on CD and will be handed out at the beginning of the workshop.
