The conference “Technology and Application of Nitride-Semiconductors”, organized by the consortium ,Berlin WideBaSe’ will be held on September 15th and 16th 2011 in Berlin. The intention of the conference is to reflect the actual state of research in selected fields of application and to discuss it with users, clients and specialists. The discussion shall contribute to conduct an application-oriented development, to identify the detailed requirements of users and to organize the exchange of information on these topics. Internationally renown experts from industry and research institutions will present recent research results and discuss the industrial requirements. Industrial lectures are planned in the fields of medical technology, disinfection of water, printing technology and power electronics in automotive engineering. Moreover, the participants have the opportunity to initiate co-operations and to visit the ‘Berlin WideBaSe’ research institutions. The conference is directed to users of nitride devices as well as to researchers in industry and academic institutions.

Berlin WideBaSe is an innovative regional growth core supported by the German ministry of Research. It is focused on development, manufacturing and distribution of optoelectronic and electronic devices based on Wide Bandgap Semiconductors. ,Berlin WideBaSe’ bundles the know-how and technical resources of ten enterprises and three research institutions in Berlin.
