Previous Workshops have provided a highly interactive forum for European researchers to present and discuss recent advances in the field of micromachining, microengineering and technology for the realization of (micro)sensors and actuators. In these fields, the MME is an established European conference. The MME addresses especially junior scientists and provides them an international podium for the presentation of their research and current advances as well as for information and knowledge exchange regarding cutting edge technology.
This year, the workshop covers scientific areas of materials, processing technology and devices. The organizing committee invited papers in any subject related to micromachining, micromechanics and microsystems, including, but not restricted to:
• Fabrication technologies and processes
• Materials
• Design and simulation tools
• Microcomponent packaging and solutions
• Device and process characterization
• Sensing and actuation applications
• Microfluidic components and systems
• System integration of MEMS, NEMS, RF MEMS and MOEMS
• BioMEMS
• Micro-Nano Integration
All prospective participants - accepted presenting authors as well as first-time participants - should complete the application on the MME website.
Workshop Environment
The workshop will be held at the Auditorium Maximum of the Ilmenau University of Technology.
Ample time is allotted for the discussion of each paper. Authors will be given the opportunity to highlight the essence of their work in a two-minute oral flash presentation prior to the poster session. Young scientists are encouraged to present their recent advances, work in progress, and also results recently presented elsewhere.
The workshop offers an attractive meeting place where new and important achievements can be discussed. Exciting social events will perfect your stay in the beautiful and inspiring landscape of the Thuringian Forest - the “green heart of Germany”.
Further events enrich the program on Wednesday in the context of the MME workshop: We also announce the information and face2face networking event in the field of micromechanics and microsystems and the Micro-Nano-Conference 2012 "nano goes makro".
