Digital Image Correlation in Materials Testing

Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is a non-contact measurement technique for visualizing deformations and strains under load. Applicable to nearly all material classes, it is used in material characterization, quality control, and test monitoring. This seminar covers the theory and practical use of DIC in mechanical testing and provides guidelines for accurate measurements in standard lab settings—offering deeper insights than traditional point-based methods.
