Since 1998, the ICBM conferences have brought together scientists, academics, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the latest developments and findings in the field of Barkhausen noise and micromagnetic testing methods. The conference series has focused on presenting new applications, developing advanced sensors, modeling and simulation approaches, modern trends, and material characterization.
In this edition, ICBM16 warmly welcomes contributions with a specialized or niche focus, pilot studies, as well as investigations that still have open questions. The conference will also present a student award for outstanding contributions by master’s and bachelor’s students. Contributions can take the form of oral presentations or posters.
Focal points of the conference:
- Non-destructive materials characterization
- Investigations of stress states, residual stresses, and defect analysis
- Combined applications of micromagnetic and microscopic techniques
- Modeling and simulation
- Machine learning-oriented studies
- Industrial applications
The event is organized by the Chair of Materials Test Engineering (WPT) at TU Dortmund University, with sponsorship from Stresstech. The official language of the conference is English.
