Thermophysical materials data will be marketed on DVD as an intranet-capable solution based on XML technology / Demo version announced for January 2006
The German Chemistry Information Centre, FIZ CHEMIE Berlin, and Software AG, Darmstadt, are cooperating in providing high-quality chemical engineering data for corporate networks. The partners are developing an intranet-capable in-house version of the materials databank Infotherm, which contains thermophysical properties of approximately 26,000 chemical mixtures and round about 9,000 pure compounds. The in-house version is dependent of internet restraints and is a cost-effective solution if regular and large volumes of information are required.
A demo version will be available in January 2006. FIZ CHEMIE Berlin has just announced this on the occasion of the European exhibition Online Information 2005, which is to be held at the end of November in London (29.11.-1.12.). FIZ CHEMIE will use this opportunity to present its products and services for the chemical sector and related fields on a joint stand with its sister organisation FIZ Karlsruhe (Olympia Grand Hall, stand 226).
For Software AG, this cooperation means a new partnership in the field of integrated solutions for in-house information management. "With FIZ CHEMIE we have gained a partner who can provide not only valuable collections of chemical data of scientific quality, but also much know-how in dealing with complex, electronically processed, specialist information" said Michael Rohloff, marketing representative at Software AG.
Dr. Jörg Homann, product manager for chemical engineering data at FIZ CHEMIE Berlin, is pleased to be working with Software AG. "We are looking forward to collaborating with Software AG. We have already had excellent experience with the systems from Software AG during the development of the web based version of Infotherm."
