Numerous Japanese enterprises will show trends in the industrial application of micro and nanotechnology at Microtechnology/Hannover Fair. On the IVAM joint pavilion "Micro, Nano & Materials", Matsushita Electric Works Ltd., Micromachine Center as consortium of the most important Japanese manufacturers of micro-technical systems, Mitsubishi Corporation, Olympus Corporation and Omron will present themselves from April 16 to 20.

"Japan is a very interesting market for European enterprises", says IVAM managing director Dr. Uwe Kleinkes, "Our data collection shows that Japan is one of the most important export markets particularly for German micro and nano companies." To advertise "high-tech made in Germany", IVAM was already intensively active in Japan in the last year. The fact that the Japanese enterprises see themselves as a part of the micro and nano community at Hannover Fair testifies a strong interest from the Far East.
