At this year's Hannover Messe (April 16th-20th, 2007), the Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH) will present new and innovative laser research and development activities. The LZH will show the possibilities that laser technology can offer industry, from a compact, inexpensive machining concept for two-dimensional microstructuring to the welding of airbag material. Nano- and microprocessing and also macroprocessing (cutting, hardening, welding etc.) will all be present at the fair.
Visitors can examine laser-based processes for reducing weight in automobile construction, micro-drilled photovoltaic cells with a higher efficiency or miniature 3-D structures (smaller than a pinhead). Fair-goers will also have the opportunity to "talk business" with one of the laser experts at the stand, or scan the wide field of laser research being carried out by the LZH.
This year, two spin-off firms will also be present at the LZH stand: Micreon, which has specialized in micromachining using ultra short-pulse lasers, and H2B Photonics, experts in using lasers for glass processing.
More information on the LZH exponents will be available on the internet www.lzh.de the beginning of March. At the fair you can find the LZH in Hall 14, Stand H 56.
