During the visit of a Leipzig delegation in its sister city Herzliya/Israel, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) have signed an agreement on student exchange and academic cooperation.
Starting 2018, the IDC Herzliya will be one of the partner universities of the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. On behalf of HHL, the agreement was signed by its Director International Relations, Frank Hoffmann, who emphasized “We are proud to have the IDC as one of our partner universities as the only institution in the whole region. As this is the most reputated institution in Israel for management, it will be an excellent basis for an exchange in the future.” On behalf of IDC the agreement was signed by Professor Uriel Reichman, president and founder. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Burkhard Jung, mayor of Leipzig and member of HHL’s supervisory board.
New "outstanding" perspectives
Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß, leader of Leipzig's International Relations, is convinced that the flourishing business location and the top-level university of Herzliya open up outstanding perspectives for science and the economy in Leipzig. "Thanks to HHL's collaboration with Herzliya, the partnership between the cities has obtained another important dimension, which is of great value to Leipzig, for our work in the Department of International Relations and for the people meeting with each other as a part of it."
IDC Herzliya was founded 1994. It was modeled after Ivy League universities in the U.S.. The private and non-profit academic organisation has drawn both international recognition and some of the finest lecturers and researchers from around the world. IDC’s founders sought to create an Israeli university in which personal achievements go hand in hand with social responsibility.
